Britt Bowman LLC ("Britt Bowman," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit brittbowman.ai, use assessment.brittbowman.ai, obtain our resources, purchase digital products, schedule a conversation, or otherwise interact with us online (collectively, the "Services").
Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
• Contact and professional information, such as your name, work email address, company, title, and information you provide in a contact, intake, scheduling, or resource-access form.
• Assessment information, including your answers, scores, archetype, dimension results, identified operating constraint, and related report information.
• Transaction information, such as the product or service purchased, payment status, amount, and transaction identifiers. Payment-card information is collected and processed by Stripe, not stored directly by us.
• Communications, including messages you send to us, scheduling details, and records of our correspondence.
• Technical and usage information, such as device and browser information, IP address, referring page, pages or resources visited, campaign parameters, and interactions with the Services.
• Information stored on your device, such as local or session storage used to preserve assessment progress, remember resource access, maintain administrative sessions, or support site functionality.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential third-party information, trade secrets, or regulated data through a public website form or assessment unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure process.
How we use information
We may use personal information to:
• provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
• generate, display, and email assessment results and purchased materials;
• respond to inquiries and schedule conversations;
• maintain lead, relationship, purchase, and service-delivery records;
• process transactions and fulfill purchases;
• send marketing communications when permitted by law and provide a way to unsubscribe;
• understand site and campaign performance;
• detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents, fraud, misuse, or technical problems;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
The assessments use automated scoring and routing rules to produce informational results. We do not use assessment results to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning employment, credit, housing, insurance, health care, education, or access to essential services.
How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to service providers that process it on our behalf for purposes such as website hosting, analytics, database hosting, email delivery, marketing communications, scheduling, payment processing, document delivery, security, and professional support.
Current service providers may include Squarespace, Vercel, Neon or another hosted PostgreSQL provider, Google, Kit, Calendly, and Stripe. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. The providers we use may change as our operations change.
We may also disclose information:
• when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request;
• to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Britt Bowman LLC, our users, or others;
• in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the business; or
• with your direction or consent.
We do not currently sell personal information for money or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices materially change, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.
Email communications
We may send operational messages needed to provide something you requested, such as an assessment report, purchased resource, scheduling information, or service communication.
We may also send marketing or educational emails where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe from those emails using the link in the message or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or relationship messages.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our Services and service providers may use cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, and similar technologies for site operation, security, analytics, attribution, assessment functionality, and resource access.
Browser controls may allow you to block or delete some of these technologies. Doing so may affect the operation of the Services. Where applicable law requires additional consent or opt-out choices, we will provide those controls through the relevant site interface.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing requested materials, maintaining business and transaction records, managing relationships, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary according to the type of information, the reason it was collected, and applicable legal or operational requirements.
We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to you.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain information, or to object to or opt out of certain processing.
To make a privacy request, email britt@brittbowman.ai with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Maryland residents can learn more about the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act from the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. The Act applies only when its statutory coverage requirements are met.
Children
The Services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address the situation.
International visitors
Britt Bowman LLC is based in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.
Third-party sites and services
The Services may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control their privacy practices, and this Policy does not govern them. Review the privacy notice of any third party you choose to use.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as our Services, vendors, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide any additional notice or choice required by applicable law.
